About Us...
Niguel Botanical Preserve is a unique 18-acre botanical garden, right in the middle of Laguna Niguel. This is where we nurture hundreds of plant species and collections from Mediterranean climate regions similar to our own. In addition to Southern Californian native species, we have collections from Australia, Africa, South America, Spain, Mexico, Italy and other countries. The Preserve exists and serves as an educational tool to teach todays, and future generations about horticultural preservation. Walking trails and paths connect specialty gardens, hidden forests, grand vistas and several sitting areas within your Niguel Botanical Preserve. Located within the Crown Valley Community Park, The Preserve has collections organized according to regions of the world. We have an Australian Forest, an Australian Woodlands & the Banksea Walkabout; the South African Savanna; the California Native Garden; special Girl & Boy Scout regions; a beautiful Formal Garden; a Community Rose Garden; a Childrens Garden; The Citizen of the Year Grove; Palm Canyon; and the Labyrinth region is the hidden design gem of our city. Open from sunrise to sunset, every day. The Preserve is pet friendly and best of all . . . it is yours; park free and walk at your leisure. We invite you to become A Friend of the Niguel Botanical Preserve. Volunteer on any second Saturday of the month or at our two major events: Earth Day and the Fall Planting Event. The Preserve is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization chartered by the City of Laguna Niguel. We are all volunteers, and you are most welcome to join us.
